Saturday March 18, was  a nice  sunny day  and  a  tour would have worked well.

Forecasts  early on  indicated  Thurs, Friday and Saturday would  rain.  Trying to second guess the weather like  Governor  Blanco  and  Katrina , Ike  on D  Day.   I  now feel honored to be included  in such a  prestigious group.

Along  with some  other personal issues  which  nobody  would find  worth the time reading,
we are now rescheduled to go Saturday, April 15, 2006, for the Westward Ho Tour-Part 2. Tour
meeting at  the  Nimbus  Winery  located on the corner of  Folsom Blvd. and  Hazel Avenue at
8:30 AM  in Rancho Cordova..

So, just to make up for the  revised  scheduling,  it only seems appropriate to add some

additional Historical  Trivia.

The Vin number can be found in 3 places  on most V-8 frames; on the left side,  adjacent to the  front and rear cross member,  and under the  center door post.

Here is a list of various Indian settlements  previously  situated along the American River

between Sacramento and  Folsom .Pujune, Momol,  Yamanepu, Sekumne, Kadema, Ekwo , Kisky,  Hasapeh, Yamankodo, Utup, Yukli.Anape and Ciba.

These villages are presented in sequential order, with Anape  being situated  near Fair Oaks and the Pujune, located  at the mouth of the American and the Sacramento rivers, most of which were replaced by gold miners along the river sand bars.

This was a very busy place, even during the pre history of California.  Those names  are the equivalent to the names of a town [ i.e. Big  Oak, etc.]  If you would like to also get a list of  Bars...
