.  So within the next 2 weeks I did a BBQ up-grade. New hitch, cleaned up, fresh American Flag paint, new tail lights, etc. “How many bags of BBQ coals do you use?” “Two!” he replied. So just to be sure, I got & lit four bags, with one more for back-up.

I want to tell you that converted Mazda pickup bed BBQ, with the 4 bags of burning coals that were raked around the edges got soooo hotttt! It warped the grate and bubbled up the steel floor in the center of the bed. Jackie & I were included in that heating experience!!!

It singed the hair on my arm and the corn rolled to the lower corner of the grate. We thought we were going to melt! Even the outside of the bed became to hot to touch.

So for next year, 2 bags of briquettes will be sufficient and Jackie & I are moving in on Steve Walker’s donation: ( ICE CREAM ! )

Se are now looking for a younger, healthier BBQ volunteers to handle the towable BBQ in 2007. In any event, the BBQ is now available for our events, just stick with 2 bags !!!
