Minutes of the 474 regular meeting held Tuesday, October 3, 2006, in the conference room of Auto Value Auto Parts, 9975 Horn Road, Rancho Cordova, California. Meeting was called to order by President Steve Wahab, at 7:30 p.m.

Treasurer Matt Thurston reported a treasury balance which was bolstered by a good swap meet turnout. We appear to have adequate funds for the next year.

Tours: Steve Wahab reviewed the upcoming tour to Silver Lake scheduled for Oct. 15. The November tour and lunch will be at Lloyd Thurston’s home instead of the Kanes. It is not a pot luck but you can contact him if you want to help.

The election for next years Board of Directors will be in November. 9 dedicated people are needed to fill the office of; President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Tour Coordinator, and Directors at large to assist everyone else. The following people have volunteered to run : Gene Hall, Tom Klement, Dave Fibush, Steve Wahab, Matt Thurston, Steve Chapman, Berry Watson, Rob Watts, Russ Broyles. If anyone else wishes to volunteer please let Steve Wahab know so we can place your name on the ballot.

No further business or announcements were forthcoming so the meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m. followed by the raffle.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR CURRENT PRESIDENT, STEVE WAHAB

David Cladianos and his wife Karen, the members who arrange for our Christmas Dinner each year, are unable to attend this year. We need someone to volunteer to purchase 20 poinsettia plants and use them to decorate the tables before the festivities start. Please contact Charlotte Murray at 916 359-5347 if you are able to help in this way.

There will be no Board Meeting before the Regular Business Meeting on November 7th, 2006. There will be a Board Meeting Immediately following the Regular Business Meeting, where the newly voted in members will elect our 2007 Officers. The New Officers will be installed at the Christmas Dinner at the Pheasant Club on December 3, 2006.
