Ten Ford enthusiasts (known as "automobilists" in 1910) enjoyed the July Lincoln Highway tour in pleasant summer weather. Departing from Brookfields in Roseville the 75 mile tour wound through back road remnants of the Lincoln Highway and Historic U.S. 40. At the Big Bend Ranger station they enjoyed two movies about travel to and around Lake Tahoe in the early 20th century. The tour ended with lunch at Summit Restaurant (6700 ft elevation) and a another enjoyable journey back down to Auburn on peaceful highways 20 and 49.
